This video was created in my Motion Graphics class and was created by inserting the video of the girl (in front of a green screen) as a series of frames and then chroma keying out the green screen. I duplicated the image as a track matte and blended it with the video of the city streets, masking and feathering it so it only appeared over the top half of her head. Finally I blended a video of snow blowing  with the image and placed a opaque solid over the top to create the sepia tone.

I’ve loved this style of effect since it appeared in the title sequence of the TV series True Detective. Shortly before I made this I attended a talk by Brisbane studio Breeder that assisted with compositing for the True Detective title sequence, which inspired me to look into motion graphics as a career.
